Course Description
This course introduces students to the American legal system and explains why justice and the rule of law matter. Students will learn how civil and criminal courts work, explore key parts of the Constitution, and examine the roles and challenges faced by courts, police, victims, and offenders. Through discussions on important Constitutional issues, students will build their legal vocabulary and practice analyzing cases, identifying key legal questions, and making strong arguments. By the end of the course, students will better understand how the criminal justice system shapes our laws and affects everyday life.
